Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1701, 2608

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- These navigation DTCs sets when a communication error between the rearview camera and the navigation display unit (open or short) is detected.
- Check any official Honda service web site for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.

1. Clear the hard error code How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.

4. Check the System Links.

Is the R-camera icon red?

YES -

Go to step 6.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the rearview camera 6P connector and the navigation display unit 28P connector.

Are the connections OK?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Repair poor connections or loose terminals.�

7. Disconnect the rearview camera 6P connector.

8. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

9. Measure the voltage between the rearview camera 6P connector terminal No. 6 and body ground.





Is there voltage about 3.0 V?

YES -

Replace the rearview camera Service and Repair.�

NO -

Go to step 10.

10. Measure the voltage between navigation display unit 28P connector terminal No. 28 and body ground.





Is there voltage about 3.0 V?

YES -

There is an open in the wire between the navigation display unit and the rearview camera. Replace the affected shielded harness.�

NO -

Replace the navigation display unit Service and Repair.�
