SH AWD DTC Troubleshooting: 15-1

DTC 15-1:

Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Malfunction

NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

3. Test-drive the vehicle with an assistant. When accelerating, check the LONGITUDINAL ACCELERATION SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS.

Does the sensor value change when acceleration?

YES -

Go to step 4.

NO -

Replace the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor Service and Repair.�

4. Park the vehicle on a level surface.

5. Check the LONGITUDINAL ACCELERATION SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS.

Is there 0.1 G or less?

YES -

Go to step 6.

NO -

Do the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration neutral position memorization Testing and Inspection. If the DTC returns, replace the SH-AWD control unit Service and Repair.�

6. Test-drive the vehicle for 2 minutes in a vehicle speed is kept constant at 19 mph (30 km/h).

7. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 15-1 indicated?

YES -

Replace the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor Service and Repair.�

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the DTC returns, replace the SH-AWD control unit Service and Repair.�
