General Specifications






Cylinder Head





Tighten cylinder head in sequence indicated, in two stages as follows:

Tighten with torque wrench:

1. Step 40 Nm

Tighten using a solid wrench:

2. Step 180 degrees (1/2 turn) further
(2 x 90 degrees further is permissible)

There is no requirement to retighten the cylinder head bolts after repairs.

Always replace bolts which have been tightened to tightening torque.

Camshaft Bearing Cap

Torque 8 Nm plus 90 degrees

Gently tighten bolts from inside working toward outside in several stages.





Finally, tighten bolts in sequence shown.

Main Bearing Cap

Torque 65 Nm plus 90 degrees (1/4 turn)

Rod Bearing Cap

Torque 30 Nm + 90 degrees (1/4 turn)

Vibration Damper/Crankshaft Pulley





Drive Plate/Flex Plate, A/T





Dual-Mass Flywheel, M/T





Balance Shaft Module with Oil Pump





Tighten bolts - arrows - from inside toward outside





Coolant Pump

Torque 15 Nm
