CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONThe body control module (BCM) monitors the Park Neutral Position switch position. The BCM uses the position of the switch to determine when to perform certain body control functions.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The BCM detects a short to battery in the Park Neutral Position circuit while IGN1 is not active.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The BCM stores DTC B0008 in memory.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present.
^ A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold, without a repeat of the malfunction
