Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front bucket seats. Refer toSeat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seats. Refer to the following procedures in Seats:

* Seat Replacement - Rear Bucket (Seat Replacement - Rear Bucket)
* Seat Replacement - Rear 50-50 Split (Seat Replacement - Rear 50-50 Split)

3. Remove the rear seats anchor plate bezels. Refer to Carpet Trim Plate Replacement - Rear Floor (Carpet Trim Plate Replacement - Rear Floor) .
4. Remove the rear cargo tray anchors, if equipped.
5. Remove the front floor console. Refer toConsole Replacement - Front Floor (Aztek) (Console Replacement - Front Floor)Console Replacement - Front Floor (Rendezvous) (Console Replacement - Front Floor) in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
6. Remove the front and rear door sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Front (Door Sill Plate Replacement - Front) and Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear) .
7. Remove the endgate sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - End Gate (Door Sill Plate Replacement - End Gate) .
8. Remove the front cowl trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Cowl Side (Trim Panel Replacement - Cowl Side) .
9. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar (Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar) .
10. Remove the rear lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Service and Repair) .
11. Remove the carpet from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the carpet into the vehicle.
Reach under the carpet and feed through any electrical harness.
2. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Service and Repair) .
3. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar (Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar) .
4. Install the front and rear door sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Front (Door Sill Plate Replacement - Front) and Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear) .
5. Install the endgate sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - End Gate (Door Sill Plate Replacement - End Gate) .
6. Install the front cowl trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Cowl Side (Trim Panel Replacement - Cowl Side) .
7. Install the front floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Aztek) (Console Replacement - Front Floor)Console Replacement - Front Floor (Rendezvous) (Console Replacement - Front Floor) in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
8. Install the rear seats anchor plate bezels. Refer to Carpet Trim Plate Replacement - Rear Floor (Carpet Trim Plate Replacement - Rear Floor) .
9. Install the front seats. Refer toSeat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
10. Install the rear seats. Refer to the following procedures in Seats:

* Seat Replacement - Rear Bucket (Seat Replacement - Rear Bucket)
* Seat Replacement - Rear 50-50 Split (Seat Replacement - Rear 50-50 Split)

11. Install the rear cargo tray anchors, if equipped.
