Inflator Solenoid Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the inflator fill valve access cover.
2. Remove the lower rear quarter trim panel.
3. Disconnect the inflator solenoid electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the air tubes from the inflator solenoid.





5. Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve cap.
6. Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve nut and washer.
7. Remove the inflator solenoid nut.
8. Remove the inflator solenoid.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the inflator solenoid.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the inflator solenoid nut.
^ Tighten the inflator solenoid nut to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
3. Install the inflator solenoid fill valve washer and nut.
^ Tighten the inflator solenoid fill valve nut to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
4. Install the inflator solenoid fill valve cap.





5. Connect the air tubes to the inflator solenoid.
6. Connect the inflator solenoid electrical connector.
7. Install the inflator control panel.
8. Install the inflator fill valve access cover.
