Weatherstrip Replacement - Folding Top (Number Five Bow)

Removal Procedure




1. Position the top closed.
2. Remove the protective pads from the ends of the #5 bow covering the nuts to the 5 bow.




3. Remove the nuts attaching the ends of the weatherstrip to the 5 bow.




4. Remove the weatherstrip.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the #5 bow weatherstrip.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nuts to the ends of the weatherstrip.

Tighten the nuts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

3. Install the protective pads to the weatherstrip nuts.
4. Install the protective pads to the ends of the bow.
5. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
