Folding Top Stay Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the folding top cover.




2. Using a pair of needle-nosed pliers, remove the stay pad staples from the #5 bow.
3. Cover the stowage compartment lid to protect the lid from damage.
4. Latch the top.




5. Using a pair of needle-nosed pliers, remove the stay pad staples to the #4, 3, and 2 bows.
6. Drill out the stay pad rivets to the #1 bow.
7. Remove the stay pad.

Installation Procedure

1. Rivet the stay pad to the #1 bow.




2. Staple the stay pad to the #4 bow.
3. Staple the stay pad to the #2 and 3 bows.




4. Position the #5 bow in the up position.




5. Staple the stay pad to the #5 bow.
6. Install the folding top cover.
7. Remove the protective cover from the stowage compartment lid.
