Oil Tank Outlet Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure - Front
Danger:
To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
Warning:
Refer to Safety Glasses Warning Safety Glasses Warning.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
3. Remove the front wheelhouse liners.
4. Remove the front bumper fascia.
5. Remove the front air deflector.
6. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement Service and Repair.
7. Disconnect the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1) from the oil tank outlet port (2).
8. Remove the oil tank outlet hose/pipe retaining clamp nut and bolt (2).
9. Disconnect the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1) from the oil pan adaptor inlet port (3).
10. Remove the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1) from the vehicle.
11. Remove the oil tank outlet hose/pipe retaining clamp from the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1) to the vehicle.
2. Install the oil tank outlet hose/pipe retaining clamp to the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1).
3. Connect the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1) to the oil pan adaptor inlet port (3).
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
4. Install the oil tank outlet hose/pipe retaining clamp nut and bolt (2).
Tighten the nut and bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
5. Connect the oil tank outlet hose/pipe (1) to the oil tank outlet port (2).
6. Install the front air deflector.
7. Install the front bumper fascia.
8. Install the front wheelhouse liners.
9. Install the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
10. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
11. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement Service and Repair.
12. Start the engine, allow it to idle and check for any oil leaks. Repair as necessary.
