96. Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation

Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation





Note:
Inspect the O-ring seal (1) for wear or damage. Replace as necessary.

1. Lubricate the O-ring seal (1) with clean engine oil.

2. Install the O-ring seal (1) onto the oil level indicator tube (2).





Note:
Make sure the oil level indicator tube (3) seats securely into the engine block (4).

3. Install the oil level indicator tube (3) into the engine block (4).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the oil level indicator tube to cylinder head retaining bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 25 Nm (18 Ib ft).

5. Install the oil level indicator (1) into the oil level indicator tube (2).

6. Install the number 4 cylinder spark plug wire. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement Service and Repair.
