Hood Shock / Support: Service and Repair

ROD - PROP

REMOVAL




1. Open and support the hood.
2. Disengage the hood prop rod (1) from the bushing (2) located in the front fender (3) and remove the prop rod.
3. If required, remove and discard the bushing and the retaining clip (4) from the fender.

INSTALLATION




1. If removed, install a new bushing (2) and retaining clip (4) into the fender (3).
2. Engage the hood prop rod (1) into the bushing. Make sure the prop rod is fully engage to the bushing.
3. Install the hood prop rod into the retaining clip and close the hood.
