GEARSHIFT MECHANISM

REMOVAL





1. Loosen set screw (2) and remove knob (1) from shifter handle.





2. Remove the center console assembly (1).





3. Remove shifter bezel (1).





4. Disconnect BTSI cable (1)from mechanism.





5. Disconnect shift cable (3) from shifter mechanism.
6. Remove four (4) shift mechanism-to-floor pan nuts (2). Remove shift mechanism.

INSTALLATION





1. Install shift mechanism (1) into position. Install mechanism-to-floor pan nuts (2) and torque to 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.).
2. Install gearshift cable (3) to shift mechanism (1).
3. Adjust gearshift cable.





4. Connect shift bezel lamp socket. Install shift bezel (1) and torque screws (2) to 2 Nm (17 inch lbs.).





5. Install and secure BTSI cable to shift mechanism.
6. Adjust BTSI cable.





7. Install center console assembly.





8. Install gear shift knob, (1)torque set screw (2) to 2 Nm (17 inch lbs.).
