SYMPTOM
P1764 - GOVERNOR PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO LOW
WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key ON and the engine running.
SET CONDITION
This code will set if the voltage from the Governor Pressure Sensor is below 0.10 volt for 8.5 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- 5 volt supply circuit open inside transmission
- Governor pressure sensor signal circuit shorted to ground
- Governor pressure sensor signal circuit shorted to ground inside transmission
- Governor pressure sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground
- Governor pressure sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground inside transmission
- Check transmission fluid level and condition
- Check for other transmission DTC's
- Check for proper pin operation and DTC's
- Intermittent governor pressure sensor signal
- Powertrain Control Module
- Governor pressure sensor
