Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

Front

DESCRIPTION

The stabilizer bar interconnects both front lower control arms of the vehicle and is attached to the frame of the vehicle.
Attachment of the front stabilizer bar to the frame of the vehicle is through two rubber-isolator bushings and bushing retainers. The stabilizer bar attachment to each lower control arm is done utilizing a ball joint type, stabilizer bar link. All parts of the stabilizer bar are replaceable as individual components, and the stabilizer bar isolator bushings are split for easy removal and installation.

OPERATION
To help minimize body roll, jounce and rebound movements affecting one wheel are partially transmitted to the opposite wheel of the vehicle through the stabilizer bar.
