Power Door Lock Actuator: Service and Repair
POWER DOOR LOCK MOTORREMOVAL
Front Door
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the door latch assembly from the front door.

3. Remove the screw that secures the power lock motor to the front door latch.
4. Pivot the side of the power lock motor from which the screw was removed downwards to remove it from the bottom of the front door latch.
Dual Side Or Dual Rear Door
On models equipped with dual side or dual rear doors the power lock motor is integral to the door latch unit. If the power lock motor is faulty or damaged, the entire door latch unit must be replaced.
Sliding Side Or Single Rear Door
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the sliding side or single rear door.

3. Reach through the access hole in the inner door panel to disengage the latch connecting link from the power lock motor or.
4. Disengage the power lock motor pigtail wire connector retainer from its mounting hole in the inner door panel.
5. Disconnect the power lock motor pigtail wire connector from the door wire harness connector.
6. Remove the two screws that secure the power lock motor mounting bracket to the inner door panel.
7. Remove the power lock motor from the door.
INSTALLATION
Front Door
1. Position the side of the power lock motor without the screw hole into the bottom of the front door latch.
2. Pivot the side of the power lock motor from which the screw was removed upwards to install it into the bottom of the front door latch.
3. Install and tighten the screw that secures the power lock motor to the front door latch. Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
4. Reinstall the door latch assembly into the front door.
5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
Sliding Side Or Single Rear Door
On models equipped with dual side or dual rear doors the power lock motor is integral to the door latch unit. If the power lock motor is faulty or damaged, the entire door latch unit must be replaced.
Sliding Side Or Single Rear Door
1. Position the power lock motor into the door or.
2. Install and tighten the two screws that secure the power lock motor mounting bracket to the inner door panel. Tighten the screws to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.).
3. Reconnect the power lock motor pigtail wire connector to the door wire harness connector.
4. Engage the power lock motor pigtail wire connector retainer into its mounting hole in the inner door panel.
5. Reach through the access hole in the inner door panel to engage the latch connecting link to the power lock motor.
6. Reinstall the trim panel onto the inside of the sliding side or single rear door.
7. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
