Wind Noise Sound At top Of Rear Door

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves adding foam sealing tape to the glass run channel upper front corner.

MODELS:

2005 (HB) Durango

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Wind noise my be present at the upper front corner of the rear door window.

DIAGNOSIS:

If customers indicate the condition is present, perform the repair procedure.





PARTS REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Cut a 75 mm (3 in.) piece of foam tape from the roll. Cut the tape lengthwise, to obtain two 8 mm (3/8) in. X 75 mm (3 in.) pieces of tape.





2. Roll the sealing lip of the glass run channel at the upper front corner of the door as shown (Fig. 1). Clean this area with an appropriate solvent to remove any dirt or grease. Remove the protective backing and apply one tape strip in the corner of each door as shown.
