B1629-CARGO LAMP OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN





For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
When the Instrument Cluster (CCN) detects an open condition on the cargo lamp output circuit.





1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all CCN DTCs.
3. Turn the Cargo Lamps on.
4. With the scan tool, read the DTC information.

Does the scan tool read: B1629-CARGO LAMP OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. HEADLAMP SWITCH
1. Disconnect the Headlamp Switch harness connector.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Using the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display Headlamp Switch 5.0 volts?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Headlamp Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

3. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Headlamp Switch harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C3 harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the of the (M22) Cargo Lamp Output circuit.

Is the resistance above 5.0 Ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (M22) Cargo Lamp Output circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER. Body Verification Test.
