B1D09-DRIVER MIRROR POSITION SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.
- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
If the Driver Door Module (DDM) senses Voltage is less than 4.3 Volts for more than 30 ms on the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using a scan tool, record and erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
3. Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
4. Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC B1D09-DRIVER MIRROR POSITION SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. TEST FOR A SHORTED OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the Voltage between the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit and the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit in the Driver Rearview Outside Mirror connector.
Is the Voltage above 4.6 Volts?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE (P669) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. CHECK THE (P669) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Z940) GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit and the (Z940) Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit for a short to the (Z940) Ground circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 5
5. CHECK THE (P669) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P69) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit and the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit for a short to the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 6
6. CHECK THE (P669) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (C910) DRIVER MIRROR HEATER RETURN CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit and the (C910) Driver Mirror Heater Return circuit in the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P669) Driver Mirror Sensor Supply circuit for a short to the (C910) Driver Mirror Heater Return circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module (DDM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
