Pressure Hose
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Before installing power steering pressure hose on power steering gear, wipe clean connections with a lint-free cloth and replace O-ring. Lubricate O-ring using clean power steering fluid.
1. Place pressure hose into engine compartment using reverse order of removal. Push the pump end of hose up into engine compartment over rear of front suspension crossmember.
2. Install pressure hose (4) into power steering gear (3) port. Thread pressure hose tube nut into gear, tighten to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: Before installing power steering pressure hose on power steering pump, replace O-ring on end of power steering pressure hose. Lubricate O-ring using clean power steering fluid.
3. Install pressure hose (2) into pump (1) fitting. Thread pressure hose tube nut into pump and tighten to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
4. Position power steering pressure hose (2) on rear of cradle. Install and tighten fasteners (1,3) to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
5. Install two rear engine mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower vehicle.
7. Install negative (-) battery cable on negative battery post.

9. Inspect for leaks.
