SUBJECT:
Quarter Glass Weatherstrip Not Properly Seated

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting rear quarter glass weatherstrip for proper seating and if necessary pressing the weatherstrip into place from inside the vehicle.

MODELS:

2011 (RT) Caravan / Town and Country

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built on April 15, 2011 (MDH 0415XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Quarter glass weatherstrip may not be properly seated and may cause a potential waterleak.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Open rear quarter windows to gain better access to quarter glass weatherstrip.





2. Apply pressure to critical areas of quarter glass weatherstrip from inside of vehicle as shown in (Fig. 1).

1. Perform a water flow test for 5 minutes at rear quarter glass and inspect for any water leaking around quarter glass.

2. Was there any water leaking?

a. Yes >>> Further diagnosis required.

b. No >>> Repair complete.

Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
