Sunroof Switch - Description

Vehicles equipped with a power sunroof have a power sunroof switch (1) mounted in the overhead console located in the headliner just forward of the sunroof opening. The power sunroof switch is a combination rocker (2) and push button (3) switch. The switch rocker and push button are clearly identified by either text or icons indicating their functions. The three functions are from front-to-back: CLOSE, VENT, and OPEN.

The switch housing, the rocker and the push button are all constructed of molded plastic. The switch housing includes two mounting tabs that are used to secure the switch to the overhead console with screws. The housing also includes an integral connector receptacle that connects the switch to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the sunroof wire harness.

The power sunroof switch cannot be repaired and, if ineffective or damaged, the entire switch unit must be replaced.
