Safety Recall 93S66 - 1990 and 1991 Model Year E-250 Econoline Cargo Vans Rear Shock Crossmember

AFFECTED VEHICLES

Certain 1990 and 1991 model year E-250 Econoline Cargo Vans equipped with optional heavy duty suspension (including trailer tow and handling package) and heavy duty shock absorbers.

REASONS FOR RECALL
The rear shock crossmember may crack at the rivet attachment to the frame rail. If not repaired, the crossmember could separate from the frame rail and contact the fuel and brake lines

To correct this condition, the rear shock crossmember will be replaced. If the crossmember has contacted the brake or fuel lines, the affected lines will be repaired or replaced.
