Output Shaft: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

Checking Synchronizer Ring:

1. Check output shaft runout by placing output shaft in V-blocks.
2. Mount a suitable dial indicator next to shaft, then measure runout at several points along shaft.
3. Total output shaft runout should not exceed 0.002 inch.
