Program Timing
Affected vehicles are eligible for this program through August 31, 1996 regardless of mileage. (After August 31, 1996, a vehicle is eligible for this program if it is still within the 36 months/36,000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper warranty).

Affected Vehicles
Certain 1995 Model Year Windstar vehicles produced from 1/31/94 through 8/1/95 at the Oakville Assembly Plant.

Reason For This Program
On some of these vehicles, the sliding door center track check assembly may become deformed allowing the center hinge guide roller to disengage from the center track. Also, repeated operation of the door may result in fatigue cracks in the door inner panel at the upper roller arm attachment. Should this occur, the door may exhibit squeaks, rattles or vibration at the upper door frame area.

Service Action
To correct this condition on vehicles produced from 1/31/94 through 5/16/95, a redesigned center track check assembly and a new upper roller arm reinforcement bracket will be installed. Vehicles produced from 5/17/95 through 8/1/95 will require only the upper roller arm reinforcement bracket installed.

Refunds
Only for owner-paid repairs made before the date of the Owner Letter (or after the date of the Owner Letter if an emergency repair was made away from the selling dealer).
