Transmission Identification Tag:

Each transmission may be identified by a tag located at the lower left hand extension attaching bolt. The tag indicates model prefix and suffix, assembly part numbers, and the build date code. The service identification number indicates changes to service details which affect interchangeable parts within the same transmission model line.
