Exhaust Control Valve: Service and Repair

Spring Gauge:

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the turbocharger heat shield.







3. Remove the Marmon clamp retaining the exhaust outlet pipe to the turbocharger.







4. Disconnect the actuator rod from the exhaust back pressure valve and remove the bolts retaining the exhaust back pressure valve to the turbocharger.

INSTALLATION







1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.







2. Using the special tool, adjust the actuator rod length to obtain the specified reading.
