Battery Cables - Gasoline Engines

BATTERY CABLES - GASOLINE ENGINES

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery cables. Refer to Battery Disconnect.







2. Remove the nuts.







3. Remove the battery ground cable screw and remove the cable.







4. Remove the pin-type retainer retaining the battery cable harness to the battery tray.







5. Remove the screw located on top of the frame rail.







6. Remove the nut on bottom of the engine, near the front engine cover.







7. Remove the nut located on the engine block right above the oil pan rail. Pull the transmission line bracket off of the stud.







8. Remove the stud and the battery ground cable eyelet.







9. Disconnect the starter motor connections.
1 Remove the nut and disconnect the solenoid cable.
2 Remove the nut and disconnect the starter motor positive cable.

10. Remove the cables.

INSTALLATION
1. To install reverse the removal procedure.
