Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the battery tray.







2. Disconnect the tubes.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Disconnect the tubes from the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.

WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENT. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.







3. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve and bracket.
^ Remove the bolt.







4. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.
1 Disconnect the vacuum line from the EVAP canister purge valve.
2 Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Leak test the evaporative emissions system. Evaporative Emission System Leak Test
