Front Seat Cushion

FRONT SEAT CUSHION

DISASSEMBLY

All vehicles
1. Remove the seat cushion.







2. Disconnect the seat backrest recliner actuator.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Disconnect the seat backrest recliner actuator.

Vehicles with heated seats







3. Disconnect the cushion heated seat element electrical connector.







4. Disconnect the heated seat module electrical connector.







5. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the heated seat module bracket and release the locking tab. Remove the heated seat module.

Vehicles with power lumbar







6. Release the rear J-clip and remove the power lumbar motor screw.







7. Remove the power lumbar motor.
1 Disconnect the power lumbar motor electrical connector.
2 Remove the power lumbar bladder hose.
3 Remove the power lumbar motor.

All vehicles







8. Remove the seat cushion frame from the seat cushion foam.
1 Unhook the seat cushion trim cover J-clips.
2 Remove the seat cushion frame from the seat cushion foam.







9. Invert the seat cushion trim cover.
10. Remove the swing rod to tie-down wire hog rings from the side swing rods (one on each side).







11. NOTE: The hog rings along the front of the seat are shown, the hog rings along either side are similar.

Remove and discard the hog rings.
1 Fold back the seat cushion trim cover to expose the hog rings.
2 Remove and discard the hog rings on the front and side.

12. Remove the swing rods.

13. Remove the cushion heated seat element.

Vehicles with power seats







14. NOTE: Some component connectors may not exist due to vehicle options.

Remove the power seat wiring harness.
1 Disconnect the pin-type retainers.
2 Remove the power seat wiring harness.

All vehicles







15. Remove the flexilator.
1 Remove the flexilator springs.
2 Remove the flexilator.







16. Remove the seat backrest recliner roll pins and remove the seat backrest recliners.







17. Disconnect the seat backrest recliners from the seat backrest recliner actuator.
1 Disconnect the seat backrest recliner actuator cable housings from the seat backrest recliners.
2 Unhook the seat backrest recliner actuator cables from the seat backrest recliners.

ASSEMBLY

All vehicles







1. Connect the seat backrest recliners to the seat backrest recliner actuator.
1 Hook the seat backrest recliner actuator cables to the seat backrest recliners.
2 Connect the seat backrest recliner actuator cable housings to the seat backrest recliners.







2. Install the seat backrest recliner roll pins.







3. Install the flexilator.
1 Position the flexilator.
2 Install the flexilator springs.

Vehicles with power seats







4. Install the power seat wiring harness.
1 Position the power seat wiring harness.
2 Install the pin-type retainers.

Vehicles with heated seats







5. Install the heated seat element onto the cushion foam pad.

All vehicles
6. Install the front swing rod.

7. NOTE: Make sure the swing rods are seated under the boarder wire in the foam near the back of the seat cushion.

Install the swing rods.







8. NOTE: The hog rings along the front of the seat are shown: the hog-rings along either side are similar.

Install the hog rings.
1 Fold back the seat cushion trim cover for the hog ring installation.
2 Install the hog ring to the center of the front swing rod to tie-down the rod in the seat cushion.
3 Install the hog ring to the front swing rod to tie-down the wire on the outboard sides.

9. Install the hog ring to the side swing rods (one on each side) to the tie-down the wire.







10. Invert the seat cushion trim cover.
11. Install the seat cushion foam to the seat cushion frame.

Vehicles with power lumbar







12. Install the power lumbar motor.
1 Install the power lumbar motor.
2 Connect the power lumbar hose on the power lumbar motor.
3 Connect the power lumbar motor electrical connector.







13. Install the screw into the power lumbar motor and install the J-clip.

Vehicles with heated seats







14. Slide the heated seat module on the bracket until fully seated into the bracket.







15. Connect the heated seat module electrical connector.

All vehicles







16. Install the seat cushion frame.
1 Position the seat cushion frame.
2 Hook the seat cushion trim cover J-clips.







17. Connect the seat backrest recliner actuator.
1 Connect the seat backrest recliner actuator.
2 Install the screws.
- Tighten until the screws are fully seated.

18. Install the seat cushion.
