Normal Operation
When autolock is enabled the vehicle security module will read inputs from:
- the ignition switch
- the brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- door ajar switches (all doors closed.)
The BPP switch and TR sensor inputs are received through the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) communications network. Once the vehicle security module receives all three inputs the doors will automatically lock.
Possible Causes
- DTC 1322 will set when the LH front door ajar circuit is shorted to ground
- DTC 1330 will set when the RH front door ajar circuit is shorted to ground
- DTC 1338 will set when the RH rear door ajar circuit is shorted to ground (SuperCrew)
- DTC 1574 will set when the LH rear door ajar circuit is shorted to ground (SuperCrew)
- circuit 344 (BK/YE) open
- circuit 345 (BK/PK) open
- circuit 346 (BK/WH) open (SuperCrew)
- circuit 363 (BK/LB) open (SuperCrew)
- UART based protocol (UBP) communications network
- vehicle security module
- door ajar switches
