Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
FUEL CHARGING WIRING HARNESSRemoval
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the upper intake manifold.
4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit and the camshaft synchronizer electrical connectors.
5. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
8. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
9. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connectors.
10. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
11. Disconnect the two transmission harness electrical connectors.
12. Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connector.
13. Remove the nut.
14. Remove the stud bolt and the ground strap.
15. Remove the engine control sensor wiring.
Installation
1. Position the engine control sensor wiring.
2. Install the ground strap and the stud bolt.
3. Install the nut.
4. Connect the PCM electrical connector.
5. Connect the transmission harness electrical connectors.
6. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
7. Connect the HO2S sensor electrical connectors.
8. Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
9. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
10. Connect the ECT sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit and the camshaft synchronizer electrical connectors.
11. Connect the knock electrical connector sensor.
12. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
13. Install the upper intake manifold.
14. Connect the battery ground cable.
