Throttle Body - Spacer

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube.
4. Remove the throttle body (TB).
5. Disconnect the differential pressure feedback exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) sensor hoses from the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.
6. Remove the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.
7. Disconnect the EGR valve vacuum hose.
8. Remove the EGR valve bolt and stud bolt and the EGR valve.
- Discard the EGR valve gasket.
9. Disconnect the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid vacuum and electrical connectors.
10. Remove the 2 EGR vacuum regulator solenoid bracket bolts and the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
11. Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses from the TB spacer.
12. Remove the 4 bolts and the TB spacer.
- Discard the TB spacer gasket.
Installation
1. Install a new TB spacer gasket, position the TB spacer and tighten the 4 bolts in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
2. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses from the TB spacer.
3. Install the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid and the 2 exhaust EGR vacuum regulator solenoid bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
4. Connect the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid vacuum and electrical connectors.
5. Install a new EGR valve gasket and the EGR valve.
6. Install the EGR valve bolt and stud bolt and tighten in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
7. Connect the EGR valve vacuum hose.
8. Install the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.
- Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
9. Connect the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor hoses to the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.
10. Install the throttle body (TB).
11. Install the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube.
12. Install the engine cover.
13. Connect the battery ground cable.
