Exterior Mirror Glass

EXTERIOR MIRROR GLASS

Removal

NOTE: Passenger side exterior mirror shown, driver side exterior mirror similar.

1. Position the glass to the full INBOARD position.
2. Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.
3. Release the exterior mirror glass.
- Insert a long flat-bladed screwdriver in the notch and push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released.

4. Remove the exterior mirror glass.

Installation

1. NOTE: The motor must be tilted inboard to install the glass assembly.

Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.

2. CAUTION: Place a clean shop towel between hand and exterior mirror glass to prevent injury in the event of glass breakage.

Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the glass in place until fully seated.
