Seat Track - Bucket and 40 Percent

SEAT TRACK - BUCKET AND 40 PERCENT

Removal

WARNING:
- The safety belt pretensioner is a pyrotechnic device. Always wear safety glasses when repairing an air bag equipped vehicle and when handling a safety belt buckle pretensioner or safety belt retractor pretensioner. Never probe a pretensioner electrical connector. Doing so could result in pretensioner or air bag deployment and could result in personal injury.
- To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not use any memory saver devices
.

NOTE:
- If a seat equipped with a supplemental restraint system (SRS) component is being serviced, the SRS must be depowered.
- The air bag warning lamp illuminates when the RCM fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON. This is normal operation and does not indicate a supplemental restraint system (SRS) fault.
- The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.

1. Depower the SRS.
2. Remove the affected seat.
3. Remove the affected seat backrest assembly.







4. Remove the seat track spring.
5. Remove the 4 seat frame-to-seat cushion pan bolts and remove the cushion assembly.







6. Remove the seat track adjustment handle.
- Remove one side of the seat track adjustment handle at a time.







7. Release the J-clip and remove the rear seat frame cover material.
8. Remove the 8 seat track-to-seat frame nuts and separate the seat track from the seat cushion frame.

Installation
1. Install the seat cushion frame on the seat track and install the 8 nuts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).







2. Install the rear seat frame material and attach the J-clip.







3. Install the seat track adjustment handle.
- Install one side of the seat track adjustment handle at a time.

4. Install the seat pan and cushion assembly and install the 4 bolts.
- Tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).







5. Install the seat track spring.
6. Install the affected seat backrest assembly.
7. Install the affected seat.
8. Repower the SRS.
