Test B: Single Power Window Is Inoperative - Driver Power Window
PINPOINT TEST B: SINGLE POWER WINDOW IS INOPERATIVE - DRIVER POWER WINDOWB1-B2:
B2-B3:
B4-B5:
Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the driver window control switch is supplied voltage through circuit 400 (LB/BK). When the driver window control switch is commanding the driver window DOWN, voltage is sent to the one-touch down (OTD) relay through circuit 991 (TN/LB). In the de-energized state, voltage is sent from the OTD relay to the driver window motor through circuit 903 (RD). Ground for the driver window motor is provided by the driver window control switch through circuit 992 (WH/BK). When UP is commanded, voltage and ground from the driver window control switch is reversed.
Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 400 (LB/BK), 903 (RD), 991 (TN/LB) or 992 (WH/BK)
- Driver window control switch
- Driver window motor
- Smart junction box (SJB)
- One-touch down (OTD) relay
