Transfer Case Shift Motor

Material:

Removal and Installation
1. Set the MSS to the 4x4 HIGH position.





2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the transfer case shift motor connector.





4. Remove the bracket bolt and the transfer case shift motor bolts, then remove the transfer case shift motor.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
5. Remove the grease from the motor adapter and check for any nicks or burrs. If any damage is found, repair or install a new transfer case shift motor as necessary.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Apply a coat of silicone sealant to the transfer case shift motor housing base.
