Suspension Control Module: Service and Repair

Vehicle Dynamics Module (VDM)

Removal and Installation

NOTICE: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

1. NOTE: The Vehicle Dynamics Module (VDM) is mounted to the lower left side of the dash above the parking brake control.

Disconnect the 2 VDM electrical connectors.

2. Remove the VDM bracket nuts and the module.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

3. NOTE: The VDM is calibrated with information from the ride height sensors. A new or exchanged VDM requires that the LH and RH ride height sensors are calibrated and a Pneumatic Test is carried out. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Dynamic Suspension Special Tool(s) Used With Diagnostics Calibration Initialize System - Clear C1990 and C1991 DTCs.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
