Console - Floor

Mark LT, Platinum

NOTE: Floor console with flow thru vents and selector lever shown, floor console without flow thru vents and selector lever similar.









All Other Vehicles

Removal and Installation

Vehicles with selector lever in floor console

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Place the selector lever in the 1 position.

All vehicles

3. Position the front seats forward.

4. Remove the 2 floor console rear bolts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

5. Position the front seats rearward.

Consoles with flow thru vents

6. Remove the LH and RH floor console lower finish panels, in the following sequence.

1. Pull the rear section of the panels outward to release the retaining clips.

2. Pull the panels toward the rear of the vehicle.

All vehicles - except Mark LT, Platinum

7. Remove the 3 screws and storage compartment door.

8. NOTICE: When prying on a component, a non-marring tool must be used or damage to the component may occur.

Remove the instrument panel-to-floor console finish panel.

- Using a non-marring tool, gently pry outward at the lower corners of the instrument panel-to-floor console finish panel to release the retaining clips.





9. Remove the floor console upper finish panel.
- Lift the floor console upper finish panel upward, at the locations indicated, to release the retaining clips.





10. Remove the selector lever trim panel.
- Lift the selector lever trim panel upward releasing the retaining clips from the floor console.

11. Remove the 2 floor console-to-instrument panel bolts.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

12. Remove the 2 floor console front bolts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

13. Position the floor console rearward.

14. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly.





15. Release the selector lever cable retaining tab and remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly retainer.





Vehicles without selector lever in floor console

16. Remove the 2 floor console front bolts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

All vehicles

17. Disconnect the floor console electrical connector.

18. Remove the floor console.

19. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure to align the trim panel retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
