Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Front)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel tank filler housing to body fasteners (1) and filler housing (2).
2. Remove the ground strap fastener.




3. Disconnect the quick connect fitting (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
4. Loosen the filler hose clamp (2).
5. Cut the plastic zip tie (3).
6. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (4).
2. Install a new zip tie (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Tighten the fuel tank filler clamp (1) to 4 Nm(35 lb in) at the fuel tank.
4. Connect the quick connect fitting (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).




5. Install the ground strap fastener.
6. Install the filler housing (2) and tighten the fasteners (1) to 9 Nm(89 lb in).
