Main Valve Body Disassemble

Special Tools
* J 33163 - Valve Tray Set
* J 43773 - Valve Spring Compressor

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Allison - Automatic Transmission).





Note: To prevent confusing parts during assembly, use J 33163 - valve tray set to store the removed valves, springs, and stops.

1. Using J 43773 - compressor (1), remove the torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid (TCC PCS) valve retaining clip (2).
2. Remove the TCC PCS valve (3) and spring (4).




3. Using J 43773 - compressor (1), remove the pressure control solenoid 1 (PCS1) and PCS2 valve retaining clips(2).
4. Remove the PCS1 valve (4), PCS1 spring (3), PCS2 valve (6), and PCS2 spring (5).




5. Using J 43773 - compressor (2), compress the control relief spring until the retaining clip (1) is loose.
6. Remove the clip.




7. Remove the control relief spring (2) and the control relief valve (1).




8. Using J 43773 - compressor (2), compress the exhaust pressure regulator valve spring until the retaining clip (1) is loose.
9. Remove the clip.




10. Remove exhaust pressure regulator valve spring (2) and exhaust pressure regulator valve (1).
