REMOVAL
1. Remove fluid filter. Refer to Transmission Filter. Service and Repair
2. Remove solenoid wiring harness retaining bolt from transmission case.
3. Disconnect torque converter clutch (TCC) and shift solenoid assembly electrical connectors.

4. Remove valve body retaining bolts, Fig. 6.

5. While slowly lifting valve body, disconnect TV cable from TV cable cam, then remove valve body from transmission case, Fig. 7.

INSTALLATION

1. Reverse removal procedure to install noting the following:
a. Lift valve body slowly and install TV cable to TV cable cam on valve body.
b. Ensure accumulator pistons are pushed all the way down, match pin of manual shift lever with groove in manual valve.

c. Install valve body retaining bolts according to length, Fig. 5, bolt "A" 63/64 inch, bolt "B" 1 3/16 inch, bolt "C" 1 55/64 inch, and bolt "D" 2 23/64 inch.
d. Tighten valve body bolts to specifications.
e. Lubricate new O-ring with automatic transmission fluid and install on grommet of solenoid wiring harness.
f. Refill with Dexron III automatic transmission fluid to specifications.
