Radiator: Service and Repair
Radiator and Fan Replacement
1. Drain the engine coolant. Service and Repair
2. Remove the front air intake duct.
3. Remove the bulkhead cover.
4. Disconnect the fan motor connectors (A) and the engine coolant temperature sensor 2 connector (B), then remove the harness connector (C), the harness clamps (D), and the reserve tank hose (E).
5. Remove the upper radiator hose (A) and the lower radiator hose (B).
6. Raise the vehicle on the lift to full height
7. Remove the splash shield.
8. Remove the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses (A) from the radiator, then plug the line and the hose.
9. Unclamp the ATF cooler hose clamp (B) on the ATF cooler line.
10. Lower the vehicle on the lift.
11. Remove the upper bracket cushions, then pull up the radiator.
12. Remove the fan shroud assemblies and other parts from the radiator.
13. Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.
14. Fill the radiator with engine coolant, then bleed the air from the cooling system. Service and Repair
