DTC Troubleshooting: B1003

DTC B1003 : MICU Program Update Error

NOTE:
* This DTC is indicated when a MICU update is not completed properly.
* Before updating the MICU, make sure the battery in the vehicle is fully charged, and connect a jumper battery (not a battery charger) to maintain system voltage.
* Never turn the ignition switch to ACC (I) or LOCK (0) during the update. If there is a problem with the update, leave the ignition switch in ON (II).

1. Problem verification:

-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

-3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.





Is DTC B1003 indicated?
-YES- Update the MICU.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
