Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1701

DTC 1701 : Rear Camera Error

NOTE:
* Check the vehicle battery condition first Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
* This navigation DTC sets when a problem is detected in the rearview camera circuit.
* Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
* Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Problem verification:

-1. Clear the hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

-3. Move the shift lever to P or N.

-4. Check for hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

Is DTC 1701 indicated?
-YES- Go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. DTC check:

-1. Check for hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

Is DTC 2608 indicated?
-YES- Go to DTC 2608 troubleshooting Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
-NO- Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation.
