The HFL digits do not go away from the audio display after pressing the BACK button
NOTE: Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
1. Do the HFL Self-Diagnostic Function; with navigation, without navigation, and check for HFL DTCs.
Are there any HFL DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated DTCs.
NO -
Go to step 2.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
3. Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Are the messages cleared?
YES -
Replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair.
NO -
- With navigation: Replace the navigation display unit Service and Repair.
- Without navigation, with USB adapter: Replace the audio display-USB adapter control unit Audio Display-USB Adapter Control Unit Removal/Installation.
- Without navigation, without USB adapter: Replace the audio-HVAC display unit Audio-HVAC Display Unit Removal/Installation.
