Front Seat Rail Replacement - Passenger's Manual Seat

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

3. Remove these items:

- Front seat cushion cover/pad Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement
- Front seat belt buckle
- Front seat recline cover Front Seat Recline Cover Removal/Installation
- Outer height cover
- Rear outer foot cover
- Front outer foot cover
- Front inner foot cover
- Rear inner foot cover
- Rear recline inner cover
- Rear recline outer cover

4. Remove the all harness clips and the connector clips from the seat cushion frame.

5. Remove the bolts from the seat cushion frame (A), then pull up the front side of the seat cushion frame.






6. With an assistant holding the seat cushion frame (A), remove the TORX nuts using a TORX E18 socket, from the seat frame (B).






7. Remove the front passenger's weight sensor Service and Repair.

8. Remove the nuts, then remove the front crossmember assembly (A).






9. Remove the nuts, then remove the connecting low frame (A) and the bracket (B).






Installation

NOTE: Make sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.

1. Install the nuts, then install the connecting low frame (A) and the bracket (B).






2. Install the nuts, then install the front crossmember assembly (A).





3. Install the front passenger's weight sensor Service and Repair.

4. With an assistant holding the seat cushion frame (A), install the seat frame (B) with the TORX nuts (C) using a TORX E18 socket.






5. Install the seat cushion frame (A) with the mounting bolts.






6. Reinstall these items:

- Front seat cushion cover/pad Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement
- Front seat belt buckle
- Front seat recline cover Front Seat Recline Cover Removal/Installation
- Outer height cover
- Rear outer foot cover
- Front outer foot cover
- Front inner foot cover
- Rear inner foot cover
- Rear recline inner cover
- Rear recline outer cover

7. Reinstall the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

8. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

9. Connect the HDS and clear the DTCs.

10. Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization after front passenger's seat rail replacement.

11. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

12. Check the seat slide operation.
