PICKUP 90 VIBRATION AT IDLE

AFFECTED VEHICLES

1990-91 Pickup (M) models with 4ZD1 or 4ZE1 engine.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Because of varying tolerances from vehicle to vehicle, some affected vehicles may experience steering wheel vibration during idle. If engine mechanical problems do not exist, install new, improved engine mounts (see "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin) to correct this condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Check engine operation to confirm that there are no engine mechanical problems (such as spark plug failure or idle adjustment).

2. If engine is operating properly and steering wheel vibration continues, replace the right and left side engine mounts as described in the appropriate Workshop Manual, using new, improved parts listed below.
