Installation







INSTALLATION





WARNING: Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions Service Precautions.

NOTE: Start all seat fasteners first before tightening to specifications.

1. Install the seats to the vehicle.
2. Install any parts that need to be transferred from the old seat track assembly.
3. Place power seat track in position on the seat frame ensuring motor is installed correctly into seat risers.
4. Install power seat track to seat riser nuts.
5. Install seat springs.
6. Connect wire harness fasteners to the cushion pan.
7. Install bolts attaching power seat track to cushion pan.
8. Install seat back. Tighten recliner bolts to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.) torque. Tighten pivot bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
9. Slide the seats to the rearward position, connect the electrical connectors (5) and install the bolts (1).
10. Tighten the inboard bolts first then tighten the outboard bolts (1) to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.).
11. Install the seat belts (3) and bolts (2). Seat Belt and Retractor - Installation.




12. Tighten the rear nuts (1) to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.).
13. Tighten the rear bolts (2) to 62 Nm (46 ft. lbs.).
14. Install the side shield (4) to the seats.
15. Install the head rest to the seats.
16. Do not reconnect the battery negative cable at this time. The supplemental restraint system verification test procedure should be performed following service of any supplemental restraint system component. Verification Tests.
17. Following successful completion of the supplemental restraint system verification test procedure, perform the Occupant Classification System Verification Test using a scan tool. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedures.
18. Verify normal operation of the power seat assembly.
