INTRODUCTION:
Some customers may notice that the rear door opening weatherstrip pulls away from the body either at the top of the opening or on the side by the door striker. Service parts have been modified to correct this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2003 - 2006 model year GX 470 vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REQUIRED TOOLS & MATERIAL:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip and discard.
2. Clean the non-dried sealer and dirt from body pinch weld with Kent(TM) Acrysol.
3. Apply 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive to the body pinch weld and the weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:
Apply adhesive to both sides in the apply zone only.
4. Install the NEW weatherstrip.
NOTE:
- Begin installation of the NEW weatherstrip at the point shown in the illustration.
- Make any necessary adjustments quickly before the adhesive dries.
