Carpet: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATS

Torque: 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

2. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATS

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

a. Fold the seatback down.
b. Unlock the seat lock, and swing the whole seat up and forward.
c. Remove the 4 bolts and the rear No. 1 seat.

3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT PLATES
Remove the 4 screws and the 2 rear floor mat plate.

4. REMOVE REAR MAT SET PLATE




a. Remove the 5 screws.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear mat set plate.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.




5. REMOVE NO. 3 REAR SEAT PROTECTOR
Remove the 4 screws and the No. 3 rear seat protectors.

6. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT FRONT BRACKET COVER
Remove the 2 screw and the No. 3 seat front bracket covers.

7. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT BRACKET SUPPORT COVERS
8. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT PROTECTOR
Remove the screw and the No. 1 rear seat protector.

9. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR SEAT PROTECTOR
Remove the 2 screws and the No. 2 rear seat protector.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT

Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

a. Remove the 3 CRS tether anchor bracket covers.
b. Remove the 3 CRS tether anchor brackets.

Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf.cm, 20 ft.lbf)

11. REMOVE REAR FLOOR CARPET

12. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL




a. Remove the transfer shift lever knob.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the upper console panel.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

13. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL




a. Remove the rear console cup holder box.
b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the console rear end panel.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

14. w/o Disc Player Changer, LEXUS Link System:
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX




a. Remove the 4 bolts, the 4 screws and the rear console box.
b. Disconnect the connector.

15. w/ Disc Player Changer:
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX




a. Remove the 2 bolts, the 6 screws and the rear console box.
b. Disconnect the connector.

16. w/ LEXUS Link System:
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX




a. Remove the 2 nuts, the 6 screws and the rear console box.
b. Disconnect the connector.




17. REMOVE CENTER LOWER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Using a screwdriver, remove the center lower cluster finish panel, then disconnect the connector.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.




18. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX AND CONSOLE
BOX MOUNTING BRACKET NO. 4
Remove the 4 bolts, front console box and the console box mounting bracket No. 4.

19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE
Using a screwdriver, remove the front door scuff plate.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

20. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
Using a screwdriver, remove the front door scuff plate.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM
22. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM
23. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH




a. Using a screwdriver, remove the seat belt floor anchor cover caps.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the bolts and the front seat outer belt floor anchors.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

c. Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar lower garnishes as shown in the illustration.

HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

24. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET CENTER COVER
Remove the 2 clips and the floor center cover.

25. w/ Mark Levinson:
REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CARPET




a. Remove the 2 clip and the floor power amplifier cover.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and the floor power amplifier.
c. Remove the 4 bolts and navigation computer assembly.
d. Remove the front carpet.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
